BSF Recruitment 2024 The Border Security Force has announced the BSF Sports Quota Recruitment 2024, providing a great opportunity for male and female sportspersons who have excelled in their respective sports. A total of 275 vacancies are available for the position of Constable (General Duty). This is a Group “C” post, which is non-gazetted and non-ministerial. Candidates selected under this recruitment will initially be appointed on a temporary basis, with the possibility of the job becoming permanent later.

BSF Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
- Should have participated in or won medals in International/National sports events between 31st December 2022 and 30th December 2024 in recognized competitions.
Age Limit
The age limit for applicants is 18 to 23 years as of January 1, 2025. Age relaxations apply for SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years) categories, as per government norms.

Application Fees
Candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay an application fee of Rs. 147.20 through the online portal.

BSF Constable Selection Process
The selection process includes documentation and biometric verification, where candidates’ identity, educational certificates, and sports achievements are verified. This is followed by a Physical Standard Test (PST) to assess the candidates’ physical measurements according to BSF guidelines. A medical examination is conducted to ensure the candidates are medically fit for the role. Finally, a merit list is prepared, shortlisting candidates based on their sports achievements as specified in the recruitment notification.
